
Jessie's riding career began at age 3...
Jessie is a USDF Gold, Silver and Bronze medalist, FEI trainer and international competitor. Jessie's riding career began with a pony ride at age 3. Afterward, she began riding at a western barn in her hometown in northern Michigan, where she showed Quarter Horses in western pleasure.

Jessie began Breakthrough Dressage in 1999 and quickly established herself as an effective, empathetic, and patient dressage trainer. She has continuously sought to develop her own training and teaching skills by working closely with Judy Kelly and George Williams. In addition, she was selected to participate in the 2004 USDF Advanced Young Rider Graduate Program and has attended several USDF FEI Trainers Conferences.
Jessie has developed and competed horses to the FEI levels, including her own horses Petrie and HPB Wradish. She trained Petrie from Training Level to Intermediare I, earning several top 10 placings in Prix St. George and Intermediare I and Reserve Champion at Intermediaire I at Sporthorse Nationals in 2007. Currently, Jessie competes HPB Wradish at at Intermediare I, whom she has trained since he was 5 years old, and Catherine Teifer's horse, Fruhlich, at Grand Prix.

With 20 years of dressage experience, Jessie brings a wealth of knowledge and experience developing horses and riders of all levels to their fullest potential. Jessie's students have also been successful at all levels of dressage and range from foundational skills to FEI riders. Breakthrough Dressage has sent representatives to compete in the USDF Finals every year since its inception in 2013, USDF Regional Championships, US Pony Club Nationals, and USEF Pony Cup.
